The 8 ways to well-being
New Economics Foundation (nef) was commissioned by the British Government’s Foresight project on Mental Capital and Well-being to develop a set of evidence-based actions to improve personal well-being.
The review of the most up-to-date evidence suggested that building the following five actions into our day-to-day lives is important for well-being: Connect, Be active, Take notice, Keep learning and Give.
To these five actions we have added three more which will not only enhance your well-being but will enhance the sustainability of the environment.

7 Be balanced
Balance is about ensuring that all aspects of life are given the proper attention. The objective is to make sure that one or more aspects do not fully dominate to the detriment of others.
